My labor of love this past month! With the canvas as wide as I am tall, and so many ups and downs my step ladder painting it, this one was quite the workout. But, it was important for me to completely immerse you in the energy found amongst nature. This painting is best seen in person so that you can step into this life-size canvas and feel our Texas’ landscape’s beauty yourself.
I made sure to not over blend my thick strokes so that you could see the marks and feel the vivacity found in nature. Repeating patterns and waves of color create a harmony within the painting. Rendering the bluebonnets and wildflowers along with their surroundings loosely plays with taking a traditional subject matter and putting a new twist on it. Voluminous and dramatic clouds surround your journey into this uplifting symphonic expression of peace and hope.
Moving cross-country with two art studios worth of supplies is… interesting! ? Found paint tubes in places I didn’t even know existed.
So glad we could deliver this 48″ x 60″ to my collector’s home in Dallas before we left. One less big painting to move!
“Petal Poetry I”
Just Sold! With such a rich kaleidoscope of hues from the Texas wildflowers, I am like a kid in a candy store every time I go out. The interplay of color between the Indian Paintbrush, Bluebonnets and assorted other wildflowers allows me to stretch the spectrum in this natural palette.

SOLD • Three 36” x 18” mixed media paintings on canvas to form a 36″ x 54″ triptych
Just sold through the Good Art Company! Spreading their joy across the landscape, I wanted to capture the rhythm, color, and density of beautiful, uplifting wildflowers in bloom. Starting with the first signs of spring when prolific bluebonnets carpet the hills, moving into May as vibrant poppies cast their merriment and energy, and finally transitioning into mid-summer when the amazing aromas of lavender fill the air. Dreamy light illuminates the sky and dances across the blanketed fields to bring nature’s glory, hope and serenity to your home.

Nature creates the most beautiful masterpieces.
As an artist, I’m simply here to translate that beauty onto canvas, capturing not just the colors, but the feeling of standing in a field of wildflowers swaying in the breeze.
There’s something magical about how each flower adds its own unique voice to nature’s symphony. Just like in life, it’s our differences that create the most beautiful harmonies. ?
What speaks to your soul in nature?

My palette knife technique allows you to not just see the flowers, but feel their energy and movement.
Can you feel the spring breeze rustling through the blooms? ?

Just sold! I wanted to show Texas’ spring landscape in a completely different way. Making sure not to over blend my thick strokes so that you could see the marks and feel the energy found in nature. Repeating patterns and waves of color create a harmony within the painting, while rendering the bluebonnets and wildflowers along with their surroundings abstractly plays with taking a traditional subject matter and showing it in a contemporary way. With an aura of mystery, late day light touches the tops of the grasses and hills with glimmers of hope.
