Inspired by our travels to Italy, cypress trees rise out of the vast open landscape signaling that you have arrived in Tuscany!  Beautiful, billowing clouds drift overhead. As the sun begins setting light casts dramatic shadows creating a rhythm beckoning you to journey up the drive, guiding you to your new getaway you can call home. Filled with energetic sweeping strokes and uplifting color, “ Cypress Boulevard,” hints that dreams really can come true.

Soft cool colors of purple

Irises are just one of the many flowers found at White Rock Lake in Dallas.  This group with the diagonal line made the piece.  The petals falling right into place as if they were instructed.

Impressions III, White Rock Lake

Today I revisited the same location at White Rock Lake as last week, but I wanted to paint it completely different this time. I love vibrant color and playing with contrasts in my subject, so today I really had fun. Hope you do, too!
