SOLD • 36″ x 36″ textured mixed media on 1.5″ gallery wrap canvas with the painting continuing around the edges
Just sold through the Good Art Company Gallery! I wanted this painting to convey the joy of being surrounded by our gorgeous Texas wildflowers. Painting these bluebonnets larger than life and flinging and pouring paint to create a joyful, kinetic kaleidoscope, I feel like the result really lifts one’s spirits. Playing with a calming palette of blues, yellows and greens and building up a lot of texture with palette knives also adds to the energetic, peaceful presence of being immersed in nature.
This series or Texas wildflowers, bearded irises and ruby red poppies, incorporates extremely thick paint applied with palette knife along with drips and swirls to add energy and whimsy. This gives the paintings a 3D feel that comes alive and jumps off the canvas, while adding joy and color to your room. If you’d like to see companion pieces in the series, please e-mail me to see my other options.

Leaving the landscape loose and free, your imagination can fill in your own story. Loaded with dreamy layers of paint and thick textured passages, this piece really comes to life in person.
