Just finished – a 24″ x 12″ oil painting of poppies and coreopsis in full bloom lining this farmer’s filed on a beautiful sunny spring day, painted with palette knife and extremely thick oil paint.
Just completed – a commissioned pastel of the Chicago skyline, seen from the city cruise on Lake Michigan as the sun is setting and causing the water to sparkle.

Not the traditional view of Rancho de Taos, but I loved this adobe wall and archway and how the colors set against the turquoise blue sky contrasted beautifully. I liked how the hollyhocks angled into the scene and softened up the adobe mass, while continuing the theme of rounded edges found in the architecture and again in the gorgeous fluffy clouds.
My husband and I have been teaching painting and photography workshops in Italy for the past four years, but we love New Mexico so much, we decided to share our enthusiasm with our students by leading a week-long workshop in Santa Fe this August 7th through 13th.
