The way that irises flow lends itself well to my style of painting. Their shapes are so organic, they just seem to spill from the plant like water. Then you throw in some of the most incredible colors and I am a happy camper! If you’re interested in purchasing this painting and seeing a close up of its thick texture, just follow this link http://nikigulley.com/iris-on-parade-6/?.

When we planted the garden a couple of years ago we went with re-blooming irises so that we would have flowers throughout the year. I wasn’t quite sure how often they would bloom or how long they would last, but I have been very pleased with what they have been doing this year.If you’re interested in purchasing this painting and seeing a close up of its thick texture, just follow this link http://nikigulley.com/iris-on-parade-5/?.

Our first year’s blooms of irises were pretty anemic, so this year when I had so many blossoms I was ecstatic! With multiple plants flowering throughout the garden, I had my choice of what captured my eye.If you’re interested in purchasing this painting and seeing a close up of its thick texture, just follow this link http://nikigulley.com/iris-on-parade-4/?.

One of my goals when we planted our flower garden, was to give me an opportunity to be able to paint nature without leaving home. With everything that is going on this year, it proved to be the prefect solution for getting outside while still maintaining social distancing. I hope this Iris adds a little joy and color to your day!

My purple irises have such an amazing depth of color this spring. It seems even richer when it is contrasted against the lacy white edges of the bloom. With this blossom, I decided to focus on a birds-eye view above the Iris so that you could see its beauty from a new perspective. If you’re interested in purchasing this painting and seeing a close up of its thick texture, just follow this link http://nikigulley.com/iris-on-parade-2/ ?.
